Sign in with Google, Microsoft or GitHub

If your website’s login page has grown Sign in with Google, Sign in with Microsoft and Sign in with GitHub buttons — possibly with the old username and password boxes gone entirely — nothing is wrong. Your site has been upgraded to Jezweb’s single sign-on.

What changed, and why

Passwords are the weakest part of any WordPress site: they get forgotten, reused and stolen. Single sign-on replaces them. Instead of typing a password into your website, you click one button and sign in with an account you already have — Google, Microsoft or GitHub — and they confirm it’s really you.

You get one less password to manage, and your site loses its most attacked door. On some sites we leave the password boxes visible alongside the buttons; on others, password login is switched off entirely and only the buttons remain.

How to sign in

1. Go to your login page as usual — yoursite.com.au/wp-admin.

2. Click the button for the service where you have an account with the same email address your website login uses. That’s the important part: the email addresses must match. If your website account is jo@yourbusiness.com.au, sign in with the Google, Microsoft or GitHub account that uses jo@yourbusiness.com.au.

3. Approve the sign-in when the service asks, and you’ll land in your WordPress dashboard as normal.

The first time takes a few clicks; after that it’s usually one.

”I don’t have an account with any of those”

You don’t need a Gmail or Outlook address — you need an account, and both Microsoft and GitHub let you create one for free using the email address you already have. Sign up with your normal business email, verify it, and then use that button to log in.

If your business email runs on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, you already have the matching account — use that button.

If it won’t let you in

• “Access denied” or it bounces you back to the login page — the email on the account you picked doesn’t match the email on your website login. Check which email address your WordPress account uses and sign in with a matching account.
• You’re not sure which email your website account uses — contact us and we’ll check it for you in a minute.
• You need password login back for a specific reason — talk to us; sign-in settings are per-site and we can adjust them.
